During my professional life managed many different project activities. Examples are
Sales:
Evaluation and optimization of a sales organisation
- After taking over the sales responsibility for Sirenza and Spectracom in Europe I evaluated in both cases the situation. As a result from that I installed new processes and optimised the distribution network.
- Reorganisation BU Healthcare Salesorganisation of Jenoptik AG (30 people worldwide)
Building up new sales organisations
- Development of a complete sales organisation from scratch (Philips; GSM) or out of unconnected parts (Spectracom ; T&M and GNSS Products)
Business Development
- Development of a market for Legal and IP Process Outsourcing (CPA Global)
- Establish a market for a completely new product portfolio (Spectracom)
- Optimisation of a distribution network for RF semiconductors
Commercial / Contract Management
- Definition, Negotiation and Management of complex international contracts (e.g. Cooperation Agreement with ZTE, OEM Supply Contract with Ericsson, OEM Purchasing Contract with Airspan)
Project/Product Management
Installation of an international project management organisation
- For Marconi in Germany, Israel and other countries: process development, staffing, training, intercultural project management
Management of product related projects
- At Marconi I was responsible for the provision of new products. This task included the steering of several multifunctional groups from various parts of the company or external sources, all contributing to the project success, e.g. Marketing, Engineering, NPI/Manufacturing, Purchasing, Services, etc) in order to deliver new products to the agreed specification, cost and timescale.
Management of customer projects
- Working for Lucent I managed all activities related to the installation of the first 6500 base stations for the D1 network (first German GSM network).

- Management of all activities relates to the sale of a Marconi plant
- Steering the preparation for a ISO9001 Certification (Lucent Technologies)
- Definition and installation of a New Product Introduction (NPI) Organisation (Marconi)
- Management of multiple internal cost reduction projects (organisational costs, product costs, etc) at Marconi
- Management of internal change projects at Philips and Marconi
Purchasing
Strategic Purchasing
- Procurement of OEM Products for Marconi incl. supplier evaluation, technical and commercial negotiations as well as quality control on an international basis (USA, China, Europe)
- Supplier Audits (Telecom Supplier, Marconi)
- Management of cost reduction activities at/with suppliers (e.g. for Marconi managing the supplier Elcoteq)
